This quote can be seen while walking through the frontdoors of our school and it is the inspiration for my classroom this year! The second grade teachers as well as the entire staff have been working tirelessly to plan lessons and activities based around the sense of community. I am excited to be starting my first year with Cherrelyn while so many wonderful things are happening!

I am originally from Seattle, Washington where I grew up boating, kayaking, hiking and mountaineering. Throughout highschool I played lacrosse, soccer and basketball. I received a soccer scholarship to attend Western Oregon University where I graduated with a degree in exercise science. After graduating from college, I moved out to Hawaii with my husband and started my teaching career at Waiana Middle School. Once I had some experienc, I chose to go back to school to get my masters in elementary education from Northern Colorado University. I graduated at the end of July and am so excited to have found my teaching home here at Cherrelyn Elementary!
